A little something about me.....
The first CrossFit workout I ever did required 100 pull-ups.....since I couldn't do ONE pull-up, I wasn't sure exactly how I would get through the workout. After completing the workout with a "modification," I was sold on this "CrossFit" thing! I completely fell in love with CrossFit and set goals for myself that I thought I would never reach! After receiving my Level 1 cert and coaching for about a year, I decided I wanted to open up CrossFit La Verne and spread my love for CrossFit! There's nothing more exciting to me than seeing someone get their first pull-up, first handstand push-up, muscle-up etc...Over the last couple of years, I've watched people's goals change from "I want to lose 10lbs," to "I want to deadlift 300lbs." I love to inspire others! More importantly, I love how you all inspire me!

A little something about me.....
I have had a passion for fitness and nutrition in some manner for as long as I can remember! I grew up wrestling in middle school and high school, which lead to me becoming even more fascinated with health and human performance. After high school, I dedicated my efforts to becoming as strong as I could possibly become. However, in doing so, I realized I was severely lacking in other areas of my fitness. I received my BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science, and shortly thereafter is when I discovered CrossFit! After my first CrossFit workout, I realized that this was everything I was looking for in a training program and truly haven't looked back! It is the constant physical and mental challenges, and the fortitude that is required to achieve them, that is what I love most about CrossFit.

I have been crossfitting for over two years and transitioned from a life of traditional running and weightlifting which lacked the overall fitness to now living a stronger, healthier, and higher degree of fitness in all aspects. I enjoy teaching these functional and intense workouts to help others live a healthier life.

A little something about me.....
Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed outdoor sports and activities such as cycling, rock climbing, trail running, backpacking, and anything else that gets me outside. Despite having been on 100 mile bike rides and 25 mile backpacking trips, none of these activities have given me the physical and emotional high that I get after a CrossFit workout. I discovered CrossFit in October of 2009 and was instantly hooked. I got my CrossFit Level 1 certificate in May 2010 and am excited to be a part of the CFLV staff. Outside of CrossFit, I have received my BS in Aviation Management and am currently the manager of Brackett Field Airport in La Verne, CA.
