Jasson Silva

OWNER/ HEAD COACH

Meet Jasson Silva, the esteemed Owner and Head Coach at CrossFit La Verne. With a multifaceted skill set, Jasson is both a guiding force on the gym floor with a decade of coaching experience and a strategic visionary behind the scenes. His robust experience in competitive CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting enhances his ability to mentor athletes with authenticity and expertise. An alumnus of California State University, Fullerton, Jasson holds a B.S. in Kinesiology, further solidifying his foundation in fitness education. His qualifications include CrossFit Level 1, USA Weightlifting Level 1 coaching certifications, and ACSM Personal Trainer credentials. Jasson's commitment to fitness is matched by his proficiency in emergency response, being certified in CPR/AED. His leadership is not just about building fitness; it's about forging community and resilience.

Hanna Hoye

Hanna Hoye is a dedicated full-time coach at CrossFit La Verne, combining her roles as a committed student and an impassioned athlete. She is currently enriching her expertise with a B.S. in Kinesiology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Hanna brings her CrossFit Level 1 Certification and over six years of coaching experience to each class. Her dedication to Olympic Weightlifting and her barbell prowess offer both novices and experienced athletes the opportunity to discover and refine new techniques regularly. Hanna's educational background and practical coaching skills make her an invaluable asset to our team and a guide to our community's fitness journey.

Matthew Gastelum

COACH

Matthew Gastelum is a distinguished coach at CrossFit La Verne, offering over 8 years of dedicated coaching experience. His friendly demeanor and expertise are matched by his competitive background in Olympic Weightlifting, where he has achieved national rankings. Complementing his hands-on coaching, Matthew is also pursuing a burgeoning career in Real Estate.

Kristen Nass

COACH

Kristen has been a part of the CrossFit community for 14 years, providing her with both a sturdy support system and a wealth of experience. She is keen on giving back to the CrossFit La Verne family and is dedicated to helping others succeed in their fitness and lifestyle goals. Her background in high school athletics and her achievement of reaching the CrossFit Masters Quarterfinals in both 2021 and 2022 demonstrate her commitment and passion for fitness. Kristen is also a respected math teacher, continuously working to inspire both in the classroom and the gym.

Jesse Covarrubias

COACH

Jesse Covarrubias is a dynamic coach at CrossFit La Verne, bringing a fresh perspective from his three-year engagement with CrossFit and a six-year coaching tenure. His passion for coaching is driven by a holistic approach, aiming to enhance the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of individuals. His commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives is unwavering. With a background that includes four years of varsity tennis in high school and a recent affinity for pickleball, Jesse's athletic experience is diverse. His weekends showcase his versatility, often spent performing, and he eagerly steps into the role of a scare actor during the Halloween season, embracing the thrill of the performance.
